Well, what a weekend it’s been for Cher’s Funky Faces! As always, we’ve been busy bringing colour, smiles, and a sprinkle of sparkle to parties and events across Plymouth and Cornwall.
From Saint Dominic to Bodmin – We’ve Been Everywhere!
First stop: the beautiful village of Saint Dominic. The daffodils were blooming, the sun was shining... and inside, excitement was building for a fun-filled cat-themed party. Originally planned as a UV glow party, the theme switched last-minute to one of Cher’s absolute favourites – cats!
And what a purr-fect decision it turned out to be. From magical pink and blue kitties to classic leopards and fierce tigers, the little faces were transformed into the wildest, cutest, and sparkliest creatures. Cher was fully in her element – feline faces are secretly her favourite to paint (just don’t tell the Spidermen or jellyfish).

After a morning full of whiskers, stripes, and smiles, Cher headed home for a well-deserved break before her next event.
Meanwhile… in Bodmin!
While Cher was busy in Saint Dominic, Andrea Funky Punky was working her magic over at Bodmin Market, offering FREE face painting to all the lovely families visiting the monthly event. Held in the heart of Mount Folly on the last Saturday of each month, this market is full of local charm, with amazing independent stalls and regular entertainment throughout the year.
Andrea arrived bright and early, set up with her Whimsical Word Ideas Board and her trademark smile. It was a busy morning from 9am until 1pm, and while she didn’t get many photos (face painting takes full focus!), she did capture a lovely shot of a fierce tiger and a sparkling snow princess.
Where to Next?
We’re excited to share that Cher’s Funky Faces will be in Padstow from April 5th 2025, set up opposite Roskilly’s Ice Cream Shop. We'll be offering face painting and hair braiding throughout the day – perfect for locals and tourists looking to add a bit of fun to their day out in Cornwall.
