Arriving at just gone 5pm to set up for the England v USA football match showing at the UPSU it wasn't long before I had a queue of people wanting their team colour face paints. It was a great atmosphere in the first half. However, due to the poor game play from England the crowd got more subdued during the second half.
The star of the night for me was the single USA supporter that had balls of steel. This beautiful lady walked into the main hall draped in a USA stars and stripes flag and cowboy style hat. As she entered she was booed and chanted at. This amazing lady not only held her head high and stayed for the whole match. I'd like to believe the 'un-sportsmanship' of those that booed influenced the final result due to karma. This woman has my utmost respect! My second favourite of the night was the Welsh dude. I don't think I've ever seen someone so happy to have a Welsh flag on his cheek. I guess the alcohol might have had something to do with his enthusiasm 🤣 lol!
I'm back again on Tuesday for England vs Wales. This one will be mental! Get your seat early i'll do my usual walk around if I get time! See you then!
