OMG! Such a great idea.  A slice of summer in February.  Just the thing to shake off those midwinter blues!  The Fuelled by Cider crew did it again.  Having booked the Pontins holiday camp in Weston Super Mare they managed to create that FBC summer festival vibe throughout the weekend with the added bonus of onsite swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym. RESULT!

Yes, the weather was bitterly cold but it did not matter wind, rain, snow anything we were inside.  The weekend was fantastically surreal watching all the cider punk folk singing along to the blue coats whilst supping quality scrumpy.  Yes, there were a couple of teething problems but hey for a first-time event in that venue it truly was an experience I can't wait to relive in 2020.  Did I mention they have a sauna, swimming pool and gym…? 

Everyone I met was in good spirits (or cider or both ha ha) and very much up for getting some sparkle and/or face paint in their life.  The sea side themed fancy-dress competition was superb with some ingenious outfits thinking outside the box along with some totally random and funny ideas.  Ones that have stuck in my mind are the stick of rock, brilliant! The bucket and spade (genius) and an extremely glittery Simon Squid.  Can you imagine if Guyer actually had that many arms! Not forgetting Captain Birds Eye, very good Mike.  Simple yet effective ha ha ha.

I had some really random requests on the face painting again one of my favourites being the seagull pooping, the dogs bollocks and the two logos along with Mr Stag in his beautiful pink glitter glasses and beard and Jaspers amazing geometrical idea. Loved that!  I wish my phone camera had been as good indoors as it is out but hey ho the memories will live on and continue making me smile throughout the year. 

Such a great time thank you soo much for allowing me to come and do my thing once again.  Fuelled By Cider I love you, your crew and all your wonderful punters.  You are all amazing!
