My passion for Padstow never dies.  It's a love hate relationship! Every summer holiday I look forward to creating smiles with my face painting, hair braids and the odd glitter sparkle here and there.  I have a surrogate family of children who I have the pleasure of watching grow up.  Until, as always happens, they feel they are too grown up for this years braid but by then I have new little ones to delight. Plus where else do you see a dog in a flat cap!

This summer season seemed to pass very quickly.  I'm not sure if it was because there was such a lovely atmosphere created by the artists all sharing their talents and having fun or if it's just myself getting older?  My nanna always said time passes quicker the older you get... Neither rain nor shine stopped us creating smiles.  With only a couple days off due to very high winds or other commitments such a great summer season.  Thank you ladies, gents and peddlars and buskers and all the lovely, happy, kind people out there :)

I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank the local restaurants and cafes for keeping us all nourished and watered.  Special thanks must go the The Harbour Ice Cream Parlor and The Padstow Coffee Company for supplying the best made coffee's in town!  Not forgetting Ben's Cribb Box for the best breakfasts and superb staff.  Jo Jo's Kitchen for the great selection of healthy eating foods.  The Chough Bakery for the amazing date or apricot slices.  They certainly give you the energy to get through the day and The Old Customs House Pub for their wonderful customer service as well as much needed WiFi when urgent contracts and admin needs sorting. Steph for the hugs and Chris for fixing my back! To all the locals who have their village taken over by our customers during the holidays.  The speed boat guys and all the staff at Padstow Cycle Hire for their constant smiley faces.  Marie and John for a much needed BBQ and mid season break.  Last but definitely not least you, my customers, my work family, that allow me to create smiles year after year.  Thank you for choosing Funky Punky / Cher's Funky Faces, for letting me take pics and for sharing yours with me!

Until next year...
Cher xx
