We arrived early to set up and instantly got asked for a hair braid from the young lady at the MacMillan Cancer Support Stall.  This was the start to a steady day of face painting with the odd removable hair braid (hair wrap) dotted in between.  The most unusual request today was for a sloth along with a first ever request for a dumper trunk...ummmm.  Looking back at the images I see what I would change however the young lads were happy and thats what is most important!  One of the fun things about being a face painter is the weired and wonderful requests we get challenged with. ☺

Newquay Community Fire Station were superb hosts always making sure I had enough to drink and providing BBQ burgers and sausages for lunch cooked by the lovely fire brigade crew.  Throughout the day there was demonstrations of all the equipment the crew use out in the field, RNLI and Ambulance also in attendance with other stalls, games and great raffle prizes.  One of the games that stood out from the rest was Clunk the Skunk.  Someone had the great idea of providing firemens whistles as prizes so all the children had great fun competeing who could whistle the loudest...  Ha ha ha!

Just after 3:30pm my last customer got out the seat, I look around and all the other stalls had packed up after a fun filled day with some very excited children able to see real firecrews in action.  To end a great day I was given some super tasty homemade cakes to come home with.  I will admit they didn't all make it home... dum de dum de dum..scrummy! ☺

Thank you Marie at Little Rainbow Arts for the last minute booking, all the crew at Newquay Community Fire Station for a great day and their tireless efforts keeping us safe and to all the locals who came and participated in such a great day out.

Heres a few pics from the day :)
