I arrived in the most beautiful village of Newton Ferres a bit early so I took a walk down the harbour.  Such a pretty place and the smells coming from The Dolphin Inn means I’ll definitely be returning when I have a bit more time to try out their menu.  Instead I opted for a quick snack from the Coop before heading back to Lucy's House.  Wow! I was working in the conservatory with the most spectacular view across fields.  Even when the rain started hammering down it was beautiful with the sun still shining in the background.  I couldn't see the rainbow so it must have been behind the house.

I had the absolute pleasure of creating smiles with a selection of removable hair braids.  These are great because they look just like the real thing except, they can be taken in and out for school.  It also means they only take a couple of minutes to pop in.  I was really impressed that each of the young ladies at Lucy's party chose a different face paint design.  That's very rare and brilliant when it happens.  It's not only shows great individuality and independence.  It's also more fun and occasionally more challenging for me.  Today was my first ever attempt at a hedgehog and a wave! He he he :) I also had requested for snow trees, sunset, haunted house, festival eyes, mermaids, leopard eyes and lovely flowers for Lucy the beautiful birthday girl :)

All the young ladies were really polite making a very enjoyable party.  At the end I also got the added bonus of meeting a wonderful young lad, Lucy's little brother, who was very happy to get rainbows above his eyes with a Union Jack flag on one cheek and a Devon flag on the other.  Once everyone was happy, I packed up and tried to leave.  I say try because my van decided at that moment to dead lock all the doors.  However, I finally got away after a bit of help from 'Pappy' and 'mountain climbing through the rear doors'. Such a nice day.  Thank you, Naomi, for booking us and Pappy for your help.    I hope I get the opportunity to meet your lovely family and friends again next year.

Much love
Cher xx
