Devcon 2022 did not disappoint. I arrived at 10am for a 110:30 start to find a queue already waiting to get into the Plymouth Guildhall. There were lots of fun characters including Star Wars and Dr Who themed costumes. There were also lots of cats and Manga inspired outfits.
Making an appearance this year were Jurassic Park dinosuars. I think I got a little too close to one of them but the babies are real cute.
I had the pleasure of painting lots of Spidermen, a wonderful pastel rainbow, a dinosaur eye, a few Batmen. A lady with wicked fire glasses wanted a fire theme so I did around the cheek and eye design. The most adorable princess and Supergirl. A Mandalorian tattoo and my favourite was the purple haired lady with the bat request. I really enjoyed creating that.
I also had one of my most unusual requests so far for a growing onion!
“Why” I asked
“Because I like onions” She replied
Superb. I absolutely love getting these random requests.
