Saturday 14th June was anything but an ordinary day for Lucia Funky Punky. She had the absolute pleasure of joining Vispring Beds for their private staff and family fun day at Parkway in Ernesettle, and what a joyful, sunshine-filled celebration it was!
This marks the second year running (we love when clients become family) that Cher’s Funky Faces has been invited to be part of the fun, and we’re so grateful to be a repeat booking. Watching the children grow and reconnecting with familiar families is a special kind of magic all its own.
With the sun finally emerging after a week of rain, the event buzzed with energy, laughter, and the sweet scent of delicious food stalls. Families bounced between activities (literally, the bouncy castle was a hit!), but it was Lucia Funky Punky's face painting station that brought pure joy to life, one brushstroke at a time.
Butterflies, Axolotls & Flaming Unicorns
The butterflies took the crown for most requested design, but Lucia’s heart was fully captured by two standout moments: painting a beautiful axolotl to match a child’s favourite toy, and creating a masculine unicorn… with flames. Now that’s what we call creative flair!
A Memory in the Mirror
One unforgettable highlight? Little Ray’s “mirror moment.” After seeing her freshly painted axolotl face, her smile lit up the whole park. Those are the moments we live for—when kids see themselves transformed and their joy becomes the main attraction.
More Than Paint
While this event was just face painting, Cher’s Funky Faces also offers glitter tattoos and hair braiding for parties and events. And Lucia shared that she loves events like this because they’re full of variety, and parents get stuck in, too! From kids picking their parents' face paints to families laughing together, it’s these shared moments that stick in the memory long after the glitter’s been washed off.
