Chard, Somerset what a night, wow! Booked for the BIG NEON DISCO I arrived at Chard Rugby Club an hour early as it was the first time I'd been to this event.  A quick discussion with Robbie B the promoter and we were ready to set up in a nice prime position at the front of the dance floor.  Before I'd even finished setting up people were already asking for designs.  I believe this was due to the great advertising Robbie had done before the event in sharing my company details and examples of my previous UV painting.  DJ set up, Funky Punky set up, Sounds on, BOOM!  It wasn't long before the dance floor was full and I had a queue of happy people all dressed in various neon outfits.  Totally joining in on the best UV costume theme.

The music was a great mixture of everything a sure fire way to please everybody ranging from old skool rave and trance to cheesy 80's and 90's to Bryan Adams and AC/DC and everything in between.  The atmosphere was superb.  Sometimes these mixed genre events can encourage the drunk idiots but this was perfect everyone happy, polite and enjoying the music.  The bar staff were run off their feet as was I for the first 3 hours.  After that the queue calmed down and I packed up a little later and joined in with the dancing fun.  Not something I'd usually do however this gig was with a lot of friends and people I already knew as such I was able to relax and catch up with friends I hadn't seen in a long time.

I'm pleased to announce that this event was soo successful for Robbie that it's all happening again on the 18th May at Chard Rugby Club 8pm till 1am under the banner Glowing Back to our Roots.  The Big Neon Disco Part II.  If you fancy a superb night out, with lots of happy people and a great variety of music then please come and join me.  It will be a great night out guaranteed!
