On all levels having my baby bump painted was a beautiful experience, I hadn't considered it before Cher suggested she paint it but it is now one of my favorite moments of pregnancy so far. Much gratitude to you Cher - Thank you. I loved it because it felt like a celebration of my pregnancy and a way to mark this time in my life with something unique. Giving special attention to the changing shape of my body that is making room for a new life rather than shying away from it was such a healthy thing to do. Instead of becoming frustrated with this basketball belly that inhibits my usual movements and stressing that nothing fits anymore, by painting my bump Cher opened the door for me to give it the much healthier and special recognition it actually deserves for a change! I am now embracing my bump! Chers stayed patient with me the whole time she was painting, despite my moving and laughing with inquisitive passers-by which could potentially jog her paintbrush and annoyingly having to run off to the toilet every 2 seconds. Chers imagination and impressively steady hand managed to capture the connection I feel with my baby at this stage of my pregnancy, creating an amazing visual representation of it that I could share and admire with people during that day. I had my bump painted in the street and everyone was admiring the artwork and wishing me well for the future. It was sooooo lovely. I'm certain India-Rei enjoyed the attention and feeling of the paintbrush tracing my belly. I have taken lots of photos so that she can experience it from the other side once she arrives. As you can probably guess I will be shouting loud about baby bump painting to all my future pregger friends out there and recommending Cher for her awesome talent. I want to see more pregnant bellies being decorated and embraced, actually lets just paint everything, pregnant bellies, beer bellies, full body......MORE COLOUR ......
