Thank You All This Summer!
MASSIVE THANKS TO every single parent and child that came and waited patiently for your hair wrapped and all the Padstow crew for keeping the smiles and motivation going along with the Welcome to the Jungle Crew, BH Live,Tescos and private bookings here and there that helped split up the days.
Its always great to catch up with the braiding family Lisa, Amanda, Tash, Ruby, Jez, Rhi, Vix and the peddlars Gill, Hugo, Veronica oh too many to mention! As well as the awesome speed boat crew (highly recommended high speed trip around the bay and if you're lucky with dolphins playing in the wake around you) and the Padstow Cycle Hire staff, all fantastic folk.
My favourite ice cream shop 'Harbour Ice' has helped keep the motivation and energy levels going with their superb selection of flavours and very naughty added extra toppings. The Cornish Bakery's smiling staff with their lovely coffee and great bacon, leek & cheese pasties yum! Chip Ahoy always superbly cooked fish, Cornish Crepe Company for those days I really cant be... the Farmers Arms in St. Merryn with a fantastic carvery and buffet selectionand of course the Harbour Inn with the best mackrell salad in the world! I will be back in October for more!
Every year we look forward to summer season forgetting how tiring working at least 7 hours a day none stop, 7 days a week for 7 weeks is. No matter how much a hard slog it is though it is great creating so many smiles. I can think of nothing more rewarding than working for yourself with every customer being a happy customer. Here's a few pics from the season. Feel free to add your own comments and pictures :)
About the author
I have been face painting and creating smiles with my hair braids, tattoos and body paints for 13 years after finally taking the jump and becoming self employed in 2006. Having a large network of friends I have been able to establish a network of quality face painters and glitter tattoo artists who have a passion for the job which shows in their work throughout the South & South West of England. Orginating from a customer service & sales background the best thing I ever did was become self employed. The money might not be as good but the job satisfaction seeing lots of happy smiles is the best. I hope to continue for many more years to come.
