Baking Hot Beggars Fair!
The weekends this year have been all muddled with the second Saturday for example being the third weekend of the month on some months etc. This has meant us adapting to accommodate two (or more) regular gigs happening on the same weekend. it has been a lot of extra organisation however it's also meant we have met some absolutely grand people who we really want to work with again. Joanne is the newest member of Cher's Funky Faces team having joined us for her first event with us in her home town at this year's Beggars Fair.
Tash and I were mainly on hair braiding and feather duties whilst Joanna was chief face painter. The day started a lot slower than the many previous fairs we have worked. Once again I put this down to the weekend with events that aren't usually at the same time coinciding with each other. Plus the amazing heatwave we've been having this year has encouraged people come out a lot later in the afternoon than usual.
However as the afternoon progressed and the fun, frolics and great music that is always a signature of the Romsey Beggars Fair ensured the queues got bigger and lots of smiles were created. Unfortunately I personally didn't get to see the end of the fair having to go onto another event however between Joanna and Tash it seems it was yet another great and successful Beggars Fair. We are really happy to be back and welcome Joanne on the team.
Here's a few photos as always thank you for your support we look forward to seeing you all again next year at 10 am. Thank you x
Cher
I worked with Cher Ricard at the Romsey Beggars Fayre on 8th July and had an amazing time.
Gazebo was all set up professionally with brightly coloured adverting banners which brought in the crowds. There was a fantastic atmosphere, the music was fab and we were busy from 10-6pm with lots of kids and adults all wanting to be painted. Cher made me feel really welcome and offered some great tips too. Just another great day Facepainting - loved it😁😁
